Cell Genesys is proud to be developing innovative new therapies for the treatment of cancer. Throughout all of our offices, our corporate values are evident, not only in posters displayed on the walls, but more importantly, in the activities seen throughout the workplace.

Once goals are written, we strive to work together toward achieving them. An important part of getting the work done is having fun and getting to know one another during the process. Friday "Cell*ebrations", our yearly "Afternoon at the Ball Park," and event-driven company celebrations play an important role in getting the job done. Additionally, our yearly company retreat allows employees from our work sites to share with their co-workers the work they do, helping each person to see the role they play in the company.

Our employees are our number one asset. We recognize the importance for our employees to be "in the know," confident in our company and the direction it is going. Monthly "Grill the CEO" sessions, a time to ask questions and hear straight answers first handedly, give employees direct access to our CEO, Dr. Steve Sherwin. Semi-annual company meetings also provide a relaxed forum to discuss company events, issues, and progress.

At Cell Genesys, individuals' contributions to the company are celebrated. Our Employee Recognition Program acknowledges the special accomplishments of individuals throughout the company: from Research, to Development, to Administration. Employees are nominated by their co-workers on a quarterly basis for any of the three awards, some of which are accompanied by a cash amount: Exceptional Contribution Award, Values in Action Award, and Scientific Achievement Award. We appreciate those who offer exceptional contributions to our company and are pleased to acknowledge their fine work.
