Dennis L. Winger
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Applera Corporation
Mr. Winger was appointed as a director of Cell Genesys in January
2004. Mr. Winger currently serves as senior vice president and chief
financial officer of Applera Corporation and was previously senior
vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer
at Chiron Corporation. Prior to this, Mr. Winger held senior financial
management positions including chief financial officer in various
divisions of the Cooper Companies. In these positions, Mr. Winger
has overseen multiple stock and debt security offerings, including
one of the largest single offerings for cash in the history of the
biotechnology industry, and played a key role in several major merger
and acquisition and divesture transactions. Mr. Winger holds an M.B.A.
from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York,
NY and a B.A. from Siena College in Albany, NY. |
