Cell Genesys is committed to giving back to the community. We seek to make a positive difference through charitable contributions and employee involvement within the communities we work, live and play. Together, we believe we can make a difference through our employee volunteer program and our corporate donations and sponsorship programs.
As a newcomer to the South San Francisco community, Cell Genesys is pleased to have recently sponsored an art contest for South San Francisco School District (SSFUSD) students, grades K-12. With a $15,000 unrestricted grant from Cell Genesys, students were put to task to artistically address the question, "What is biotechnology?" Few guidelines were given, allowing students the chance to flex their creative minds. Winners, selected by a panel of local representatives and Cell Genesys executives, were honored at Cell Genesys headquarters' ribbon cutting ceremony, and each received an award for their creative efforts. Today, Cell Genesys has the pleasure of displaying the students' original artwork on the walls of the new headquarters building.
